Please note that these are Guidelines only, consult with your Veterinarian before giving your pet any CBD products, especially if your pet is taking other medications. Do not give pets any products that contain > 0.3% THC. Just like humans, CBD can help pets who suffer from pain and inflammation, arthritis, poor appetite, anxiety, seizures, and cancer. Avoid CBD if your pet has liver failure or elevated liver function enzymes.
Start at the lowest dose and work up gradually as needed.
Give CBD twice a day for best results.
In general, dogs have a slower metabolism and need a lower dose than cats, who tend to have less cannabinoid receptors (necessitating a higher dose per pound of feline body weight).
Watch your pet for signs of overdose: low energy, drooling, vomiting, or diarrhea. If these or any other worrisome symptoms occur, stop CBD immediately and call your vet.
